Recommended Websites

The Archdiocese of Vancouver

The Holy See’s website

A great database for all of the popes’ writings, and the resource for anything coming out of the Holy See (“the Vatican”).

Catholic Education Resource Center

One of the best Catholic resources out there!  CERC gathers the best articles on many current topics (e.g. the Church, sexuality, apologetics).  I can’t recommend this site enough.  It equips us with knowledge and facts so necessary to grow and engage in effective dialogue.

Magis Center

Your resource for intellectual evangelization.  Fr. Robert Spitzer SJ has done us a great service by tackling the some of the hardest questions that hinder belief, including “How do we know God exists?” “How do we know Jesus existed?” “Why would a good God allow suffering?”

LifeSiteNews

An incredible website whose daily updates I receive to know what’s going on in the world about life, family and culture.  I consider this an indispensable resource to stay up-to-date.

Canadian Centre for Bio-ethical Reform

To learn how to fight against abortion and change hearts and minds.  If we know a tree by its fruit, then CCBR is a wonderful tree, because its fruits include changing thousands of hearts and minds to see that life is precious and starts at conception, and abortion kills innocent people.  Persuasive and compelling.

Decent Films

My go-to site for movie reviews. Steven Greydanus gives amazingly thoughtful reviews based on a deep knowledge of Catholicism and its worldview. I aspire to write prose as he does.

Examen of Conscience

I’ve been doing this prayer twice a day for the past 15 years. That says something. This prayer taught me how to listen to God speaking to me in so many ways, through the events of my life and through the movements of my heart, mind and emotions. It helps me to confront my difficulties and sufferings, and always leads me to God’s peace. I cannot say enough about this prayer.
