My First Day at St. Anthony of Padua’s

photo-3God is good!  He’s guided me through a wonderful first day at St. Anthony’s.  Fr. Mario Marin, my predecessor, and I started the day with the most important act thing: Mass.  There was a good number of people assisting at Mass, and they were able to say farewell to Father, while welcoming me.

Later on, I kept myself busy with unpacking, going over financial matters, sorting out keys, looking for things, but most importantly, I was meeting some wonderful people, in person and on the phone, who were kind enough to introduce themselves to me and inform me of how they serve at the parish.  I’ve already booked a number of meetings so that we can get to know each other better.

At the end of the day, I’m very aware that, despite my unworthiness, God is taking care of me and fathering me.

Thank you everyone for your prayers!  God bless!
