Why “The Just Measure”?

Celebrating Birthday Dinners with Fr. Danny

When I was in Rome, my cousin, Fr. Danny Huang, SJ, and I would always joke around about the “just measure.”  It means that doing the best doesn’t always necessarily mean doing the most or having the biggest of something, but doing it to the optimum degree. It reminds us that sometimes doing God’s will or doing the best means doing what’s sufficient to meet a certain goal.  For example, it’s best not to eat too much or too little, but the right amount for each person.  The same goes with sleep, study, work, and prayer.  However, when it comes to love, the just measure is always the maximum!
